St Chad’s School Council consists of 2 children from every class in Years 2-6. We meet fortnightly to discuss ways we can make our school an even better place for us and our friends to be a part of. At our meetings everyone gets a chance to speak and share their thoughts or ideas. We then have a vote to decide which we think is best. Sometimes we have to talk to other people in school to help us, for example our Headteacher or write letters to other groups, such as the PFA.

We all have a very important job to carry out and we each have a job description to follow. We have appointed a Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson, a Secretary and a Vice Secretary. Our Chairperson helps to decide the agenda and run the meetings. Our secretary takes the minutes and types them up. Minutes are the notes that tell other people what has been said at our meetings. Please take a look at them and read all about what we have done so far.
