Welcome to St Chads C.E. (C) Primary School

“Come follow Christ in the footsteps of St Chad”

Welcome!

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you and your family to St Chad’s C.E. (C) Primary School.

I am extremely lucky to be entrusted with the opportunity to lead the school as Acting Headteacher and I would love to show any prospective parents around for a more in depth discussion about our school.

We pride ourselves on our high standards of academic achievement as well as being able to offer a holistic approach to learning across a broad and balanced bespoke curriculum. Our topics focus on health and wellbeing, music, the arts and how we can save our planet to name a few. We are also truly blessed to have dedicated governors, staff who go above and beyond to provide the best for our pupils and a supportive wider community who actively work alongside us. We believe that strong home school links ensure that we are all sharing one vision, thus enabling us to ‘build together with Jesus for a better future’.

At St Chad’s the Christian faith underpins all that we do. We ensure that each and every pupil, staff member and governor lives and breathes our school values of kindness, respect, empathy, honesty, commitment, independence and belonging: all deeply rooted in the parables of the Bible. Children leave St Chad’s with strong Christian and British values and we regularly bring our teaching back to these values to ensure they are embedded throughout the school.

We have an active pupil voice consisting of: The pupil Leadership Council, Eco Council, School Council, Worship Council as well as Play Leaders who all take an active role in the decision making process of the school. We also hold termly Parent Forum meetings to ensure we regularly feedback to parents and invite them to make suggestions as to how we can continue to develop and evolve.

If you would like to learn more about our wonderful school, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office on 01782 567750 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Kindest regards,

Mrs J Brennan
